Ollie Austen is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with over two decades of hands-on experience in founding, scaling, and successfully exiting companies. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 1999 and exited his first business in 2018. His expertise spans business strategy, team leadership, and operational growth, with a track record of building high-performing teams and expanding into global markets.
As co-founder of Startup 2 Standup, Ollie has helped create a dynamic peer-to-peer network for entrepreneurs and founders looking to scale. The group was formed to offer what many startups lack - practical guidance, strategic insight, and a support system from others who’ve been there. Alongside co-founders Harry Wyndham and Gary Jackson, Ollie built the community to address this support gap, inspired by his own experiences growing and exiting businesses.
In addition to his work with SU2SU, Ollie founded THIS R&D to help business owners access Research & Development tax credits - an initiative he personally benefited from and continues to advocate for passionately. Beyond the financial return, Ollie highlights the morale and culture boost that R&D claims bring to organisations committed to innovation and growth.
Following the acquisition of THIS R&D, Ollie continues to promote awareness of powerful tax relief opportunities, including Capital Allowances - a form of relief for investments in commercial property and assets.
