Andy is a Fleet & Transport Sustainability Expert who has been at the forefront of technology, cost control and climate in transportation for the last 30 years. After a decade spent running a fleet software business Andy set up Fleet Evolution in 2010 to support the upcoming transition to electric. Andy is an expert on fleet procurement, car schemes, cost reduction and electrification. He also supports new companies with their fleet needs, companies who would often struggle to gain terms with traditional suppliers.

FULL BIOGRAPHY

Since 1999, Andrew has been focussed on the fleet industry, developing his knowledge after a history in financial services and taxation. He has won awards and been requested to speak at events with over 1,000 delegates from universities to the USA to Poland.

After a decade in fleet and HR tech Andrew set up the UK's first electric car focussed lease and fleet management company in 2000, a few years before the market was ready. As a former asthma sufferer before moving to the countryside, Andrew was and continues to be a firm advocate of electrification.

Fleet Evolution helps a number of businesses, in 2011 they launched the first salary sacrifice car scheme focussed on smaller companies, removing all the risk and admin of such schemes and opening them up to the SME market.

In 2012 Andrew launched the first EV focussed electric car scheme for a large customer still with us today, with charging infrastructure to match.

In 2015 he was asked by Maxxia to help them to enter the salary sacrifice car market after unsuccessful attempts to achieve this without assistance. Fleet Evolution launched their scheme in under a year

In 2016 he signed Cygnet, a major care provider, Andrew's team helped to totally invigorate their fleet structure, slashing costs, ensuring uptime, renewing the fleet and ensuring vehicles were suitable for the passengers needs. They are a growing customer today regularly praising the service.

In 2017 Andrew was asked by Octopus Electric Vehicles to help them to enter the salary sacrifice car market after unsuccessful attempts to achieve this without assistance. The team launched their scheme in under a year.

From 2020 Fleet Evolution have worked with many new starts to help manage their transport needs. They also work with established business to offer genuine advice on their transition to electric, genuine advice that sometimes means they have to be honest that the time is not right.
